Matt BrozovichBroz Design Creative Director and Founder
Matt Brozovich always had a creative instinct. At a young age he was drawing homemade comic books and writing books about robots, technology and popular culture.
In high school, Matt's imagination ran rampant and he began keeping a regular journal of writing and drawing. Luckily most of his teachers appreciated being "caricaturized" and fostered his creativity.
In college, Matt expanded his artistic abilities by studying painting, sculpture, drawing and art history. Spending countless hours at the easel composing still lifes, nudes and abstracts, he concluded that even artists need to survive in the business world so he doubled his major. In 1998 he earned a bachelor of arts in Visual Arts and a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Regis University.
The business landscape in 1998 was teeming with life thanks to the the dot com bubble. Businesses and design firms were financing full creative teams to handle branding, identity, advertising and websites. Matt got on with a technology company in south Denver as an entry level graphic artist and gained valuable experience working on an in-house design team.
Then the bubble burst. Large budgets dried up and creatives found themselves looking for work. Matt learned the "hard way"; suffering through multiple layoffs and working at firms that valued money more than their clients. His industry experience was diverse during the decade; design, publishing, data, communications and energy.
Matt founded Broz Design in 2001 as a freelancer and took the firm full-time in 2008 due to client demand.
Matt is a Colorado native and in his spare time enjoys backpacking, skiing, playing ice hockey and spending time with his family. |
