About Broz Design and Denver Art Director Matt Brozovich
As a kid, I used to sit at a rickety old kitchen
table, stack of scrap paper my Dad brought home from the office
and a pencil. There I would draw for hours, tongue sticking
out the side of mouth in concentration, transfixed in a grandiose
art project that usually consisted of epic space battles or
homemade comic books. My work has encompassed many mediums
since then; sketchpads, composition books, canvas, clay, chicken
wire, metal and most recently, a computer.
Broz Design was born in 2001 when a North Denver gift basket and nut shop approached me to create a website.
I knew nothing about web design but agreed to build the site
anyway. I spent the next two months sifting through online
tutorials and software manuals. The end result was an awful
spectacle I christened “Nouveau Dot Com” that included
shifting rollovers, a color palette consisting of hot pink,
aqua, ecru and black and an extra large headline font that
stated, “Welcome to GoingNuts.com!!!” (note
the triple exclamation points).
Since then I have created numerous websites,
logos, advertising campaigns, corporate identities, shirts
and hockey jerseys as the Creative Consultant & Owner of Broz Design, as an Art Director in Denver for Insyntrix, as an Art Director in Broomfield for Acxiom and as myself, Matt Brozovich.
